The following are the arrangements for Fallen Brother Cletus Ritzenthaler
followed by his obituary.

        Viewing
        Friday April 4th - Nelsen Funeral Home located at 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond VA in the East end of Henrico County.

 

 The viewing will be Friday April 4, 2008.

 The visitation time from 10:00 am to Noon is for HENRICO FF ONLY.

 Visitation from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm is open to others.

 

     
        Funeral
        Saturday  April 5th, 11:00 am - Sandston Baptist Church 100 W. Williamsburg, Sandston VA

        Reception for family and friends to follow funeral service at the church.

        Information on procession and apparatus staging location to follow as details are confirmed.

                J. Jude "Doc" Cletus Ritzenthaler, 30, of Providence Forge, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away on March 30th.

                He was born in Newport News on January 2nd 1978. At a young age
he came to live in Williamsburg and later graduated from Bruton High school.
After graduation he went to serve in the US Army Reserve where he received his
National Registry EMT Basic. Afterwards he served as a volunteer firefighter for
Williamsburg while training to receive his EMT/Paramedic certification. In 2002
he became a firefighter/paramedic for Henrico County. He was called to active                                  
military duty in 2003 to serve one year in Iraq as a Medical Section Sergeant
with the 88th Military Police Division. For eight years he worked with Richmond                                          
Ambulance. Recently he had begun serving as an ER Paramedic at MCV and enjoyed
working with the therapy dog program there.

                Survivors include his fianc?Erin Wishmyer of Providence Forge;
parents Joseph and Laura Ritzenthaler of Williamsburg; brother S. Paul
Ritzenthaler also of                                             Williamsburg;
grandparents Dick and Tina Benet of Newport News; numerous aunts, uncles and
cousins.

                Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 on Friday, April 4th at Nelsen Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be 11 AM the following day at
Sandston Baptist Church.

                In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the VCU
